1. What is VPS all about?
VPS is a forum for Vietnamese professionals to meet and to extend their social and professional networks.
2. Is VPS a non-profit organization?
Yes. The Vietnamese Professionals Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit worldwide membership organization of Vietnamese professionals. The VPS membership recruit hundreds of professionals from various fields such as education, law, medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, accounting, information systems, engineering, computer science and business.
3. How do I learn more about VPS?
Browse through our website to see our current projects and activities. Also visit http://www.vps.org for additional information. You can also come out to our general meetings to meet staff and members and learn more. Send inquiries about our general meeting to contact@vpsdallas.org.

6. What does VPS officers and staff do?
Officers and staff are tasked with coordinating and directing VPS' annual projects. Officers meet with staff once a month to discuss and take action on upcoming projects.
7. How much time commitment is required for officers and staff?
All officers and staff members are volunteers. They contribute their personal time to help build the VPS organization while helping the Vietnamese community. Even though there are no stated time commitment requirements for officers and staff members, they are generous by giving their free time to the VPS organization.
8. How can I join staff?
Please send an email to contact@vpsdallas.org expressing your interest. You can also contact any of the officers or staff members.
9. When are officer elections held?
Officer elections are held every 2 years. The next election will be held the end of 2007 for term 2008-2009. The office of the President has a 2 year term limit. Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer are appointed by the incoming President Elect. There are no term limits for these officer seats.
10. How can I become an officer?
Any active member of VPS Dallas Chapter can run for office. Please inquire by sending an email to contact@vpsdallas.org. Voting takes place within the active membership. Democratic rule applies with a majority vote win.
11. Are there social activities within VPS?
Yes. VPS hosts social events that allow members opportunity to meet, network, and socialize. Some of our social events include Happy Hours, Speed Dating, Halloween Party, Masquerade Ball, Christmas Party, New Year's Bash. To inquire more about an event, send an email to events@vpsdallas.org.
12. I want to get involve and help but I don't have any free time. How can I help?
There are several ways you can indirectly help. One way is by joining VPS. Your membership will help drive the VPS mission. Another is to support VPS financially so there is enough funding for VPS' annual projects. You can also help by providing constructive feedback that will enable improvement.
